Three hurt as car off West Coast bank

Three people have been flown to hospital after a car went off a bank in the West Coast.

Two helicopters were called to crash scene between Pleasant Flat and Clarke Bluff, near Haast, shortly after 10am on Thursday Two people were flown to a hospital in Dunedin and a third airlifted to Queenstown, police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The car is being towed and the road is expected to be fully re-opened later on Thursday morning.
