Three months have been allocated for the trial of 11 people arrested over the kidnapping and death of a woman who fell from a car boot in south Auckland.

Jindarat Prutsiriporn, 50, died from a serious head injury after escaping while bound and gagged from the boot of a moving car in the suburb of Papatoetoe in March.

Five people each face a charge of manslaughter over her death, while the rest are accused of kidnapping.

All deny the charges.

At the High Court at Auckland on Wednesday, Justice Graham Lang allocated 12 weeks for their trial in May next year.

Several of the accused will appear again in court in March.
