They may not want to collaborate on a TV series, but Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are game to co-host "Saturday Night Live."

On Tuesday, NBC announced that the pair will return to to their roots in Studio 8H to close out the year on Dec. 19. And if that's not enough, Bruce Springsteen will be the musical guest.

The network also announced that Ryan Gosling will host on Dec. 5 followed by Chris Hemsworth on Dec. 12 -- but we all know that Tina and Amy are the main event.

Fey and Poehler will no doubt be promoting their new movie "Sisters," which hits theaters Dec. 18 and is the first film they've appeared in together since 2008's "Baby Mama" (well, actually they both cameoed in 2013's "Anchorman 2," but that doesn't really count).

Fey started at "SNL" in 1997 and became the show's head writer two years later -- a position she held until her departure in 2006. Meanwhile, Poehler was a cast member on the show for nine seasons starting in 2001, and co-anchored "Weekend Update" with Fey from 2004 to 2006.
