Top job for Fed Farmers president

NZ Newswire logoNZ Newswire 29/09/2016

Federated Farmers president William Rolleston has been appointed acting president of the World Farmers' Organisation.

He was previously vice-president and will guide the organisation through to its next general assembly in Helsinki next year, when a new president will be appointed.

Dr Rolleston says it's a privilege to be acting president.

"The WFO is the global voice of farming," he said.

"It helps to overcome the global and local barriers to resources and market access."

Dr Rolleston farms in the South Island and runs a family-owned biological manufacturing business.
