Single scullers Mahe Drysdale and Emma Twigg will come up against the respective world champions in their events at the year's third and final World Rowing Cup.

The two will be part of a full New Zealand team competing in Poland this weekend, the last time they will face their opponents before the Rio Olympics in August.

The men's single sculls has the largest entry, with 30 competitors expected at the start line, including Olympic champion Drysdale, world champion Czech Ondrej Synek and European champion Damir Martin of Croatia.

In the women's single sculls, Twigg will be in a field that also features world champion Australian Kim Brennan.

Twigg and Brennan are set to race each other for the first time since Twigg won the 2014 world title, after which she took time out from the sport to study in Europe.

The regatta at Poznan begins on Friday night (NZT).
