Police are not seeking anyone in relation to the deaths of a man and a woman at a Waipukurau home last weekend and have finished investigating.

A homicide investigation was launched after 61-year-old Ngaire Elaine McKenzie and 58-year-old Murray Daley were found dead at their property in Jellicoe Street on June 3.

Detective Senior Sergeant Martin James of Hawke's Bay CIB said the investigation team are confident they have a clear understanding of the circumstances surrounding the death of Ms McKenzie and describe it as incredibly tragic.

Police are not seeking anyone in relation to the incident.

The matter has been referred to the Coroner.

Ms McKenzie had lived in the house for about five years, while Mr Daley had moved in more recently, Fairfax reported, citing neighbours.
