Warriors NRL prop escapes chicken-wing ban

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 20/06/2016

Warriors prop Toafofoa Sipley has been spared from suspension despite being charged for a chicken-wing tackle on Kane Evans.

Sipley, playing just his second game against Sydney Roosters on Sunday, was cited after wrenching Evans' arm in the second half of the Warriors' 12-10 win at Mt Smart Stadium on Sunday.

However the grade one dangerous contact charge attracts just 75 penalty points with an early guilty plea, meaning Sipley will be available for Saturday's clash with table toppers Cronulla.
