Wests Tigers lose another NRL player

Wests Tigers have lost yet another member of their playing roster for next year, with forward Ava Seumanufagai joining Cronulla until the end of the 2019 NRL season.

Seumanufagai's exit comes after Aaron Woods confirmed his move to Canterbury at the end of the year, while it is widely tipped James Tedesco and Mitchell Moses are on the way out too.

Tedesco is expected to sign with Sydney Roosters, while Moses has reportedly been haggling for an early release from his current deal to join Parramatta immediately.

Sharks coach Shane Flanagan said he's had his eye on Seumanufagai for some time.

"He (Ava) is a quality NRL front-rower who we have been monitoring for two years," Flanagan said on Tuesday.

"We are very excited to add such a player to our 2018 squad and believe we can progress his game to another level."

The 25-year-old Seumanufagai is currently averaging 91 metres and 19 tackles in 40 minutes per game over his eight appearances for the Tigers this season.

His addition to Cronulla follows the recent re-signing of Chad Townsend.
