Star Perth Wildcats forward Matt Knight has been ruled out of Sunday's NBL grand final game against Illawarra because of a head knock.

Knight, who has a history of concussion issues, copped an accidental knock to his face during Wednesday's game-two win in Wollongong.

The Wildcats lead the best-of-five grand final series 2-0, and have decided to rest Knight for game three.

Hawks import Marvelle Harris will play despite the death of his father Marvin on Saturday.

Harris missed game one after flying to America to be by his father's side.

The 23-year-old returned for game two, but was scoreless from 14 minutes of action.
