Winter reminder over dehumidifier recall

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 29/05/2016

Mitre 10 and dehumidifier maker CDB are reminding people not to use a product which was recalled two years ago because of a fire risk.

"Winter is the time when many dehumidifiers come out of the cupboard and can be left on for a long time, so we are asking home-owners to make sure the model they have is safe," said Mitre 10's marketing manager Dave Elliott.

In 2014, Mitre 10 recalled the Nouveau 16L electronic dehumidifier (Model NH-DB16E) because of a fault which could cause it to overheat - posing a fire risk. The fault was restricted to the 2013 model.

Anyone with the model, with the date code 0213, was urged not to use it and contact CDB on 0800 232 633 or
