A woman arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing makeup told officials she made $3,000 a week over an eight-month period selling the products, according to a police report.

Celia Nichole Sanchez, 27, was booked on a charge of organized retail theft between $2,500 and $30,000. Her bail was set at $5,000.

Police found Sanchez with $6,000 worth of makeup still in shopping tote bags from Ulta retail stores after they followed her to a house in the 10700 block of Terrace Plain, according to preliminary information from a police report.

Some of the bags still had theft sensors attached when officers watched Sanchez conduct a transaction for the makeup before taking her into custody on a warrant for her arrest.

Another $4,000 worth of Ulta cosmetics were discovered in her home, which she was selling through Facebook cosmetic groups.

According to county records, Sanchez was released Thursday after posting bail.
