Woman denies Dome Valley charges

A sixth person has appeared in court after a young woman found dumped on a road north of Auckland.

Jaclyn Keats pleaded not guilty at the High Court in Auckland to charges of kidnapping, unlawful sexual connection, and two charges of assaulting a person with a weapon.

The charges arose after the 19-year-old victim was found unconscious by a member of the public on June 9 in Dome Valley and was flown to Auckland Hospital.

Five people have already appeared in court over the incident.

They are Nicola Jones, 28, Julie-Ann Torrance, 42, Cameron Te Hau Kareti Tautau Hakeke, 33, and Wayne Blackett, 39, while one person has name suppression.

The two men and three women had each initially faced a charge of kidnapping, but have now had their charges upgraded.

Police said each individual now faced various charges including attempted murder, assault with a weapon, kidnapping, sexual violation and aggravated robbery.
