All Whites captain Chris Wood has warmed up for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against New Caledonia in Auckland with another goal for Championship team Leeds United.

A late strike from Ronaldo Vieira secured Leeds a 3-2 win away to Norwich at Carrow Road after they trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Wood had earlier blasted home a cut-back from Luke Ayling to give Leeds a 2-1 lead with 16 minutes remaining, his eighth goal of the Championship and 11th in all competitions.

After 16 games, Leeds sit sixth on the Championship ladder with eight wins and two draws.

Wood is heading back to New Zealand to lead the All Whites in their two-match World Cup qualifying series, with the first match at QBE Stadium in Auckland on Saturday.

The return match is scheduled for three days later in Kone, New Caledonia.
