Work begins on $23.5m school redevelopment

The school, which got a $3.5m trades academy in the first stage of the overhaul, will get 24 new teaching spaces, a new multi-purpose centre, library and administration facilities as part of the modernisation.

"This latest investment will deliver state-of-the-art learning spaces, to inspire and support students," said Education Minister Hekia Parata.

The school caters for years 1-13 and has around 1600 students.
