Wyclef Jean is willing to give Fugees fans the reunion they've been yearning for, he told HuffPost Live Tuesday  before   heading onstage for his second solo performance at Brooklyn Bowl in just two weeks.

The Fugees performed together for Dave Chappelle's Block Party back in 2006, and since then the rumor mill has kept hopes of another reunion alive. In fact, Jean previously mentioned that he'd be interested in getting the trio back together again. Two years later, he's still down for it, but with a small caveat.

"I would definitely do a reunion with the Fugees, but I can't really recreate anything. All I can do is keep creating," he told host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani.

In the 20 years since they dropped "The Score," Jean said fans have pressed him for a follow-up to the seminal album, which went six times platinum, garnered two Grammys and became an instant hip-hop classic. While the Fugees never released another album as a group, Jean is still creating.

"Even though it didn't happen, I did 'The Carnival.' After 'The Carnival,' I met Beyoncé [and] Kelly [Rowland] and we did 'No, No, No.' I met Shakira and did 'Hips Don't Lie.' Santana [did] 'Maria' [with me]," he said.

Now he's back and channeling his Caribbean roots with "My Girl," the first single off his upcoming album "Carnival III." Even though his recent projects have been solo endeavors, Jean stressed that he still has love for his days working alongside Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel.

"Fugees is always first though," he said.
