A Brisbane mosque has been defaced with offensive graffiti explicitly referencing the Christchurch terror attack.

Aya Al-Umari, whose brother was killed in the March 15 shooting, posted a photo of the Holland Park Mosque to Twitter. It shows the front wall of the mosque covered in what seems to be white spray paint.

Alleged shooter Brenton Tarrant is referenced in the graffiti, as well as a highly offensive phrase used online as a code for 'kill Muslims'.

Her brother, Hussein Al-Umari, was killed in Christchurch's Al Noor Mosque. Police say he tried to confront the gunman and was shot while protecting others.
