"He wanted to introduce Meghan to the Queen."

The source claimed the meeting went well and will be the first of many encounters.

It took five years for Duchess Kate to meet the 91-year-old Queen, a meeting that happened at a 2008 royal wedding. For Markle the meeting allegedly took place after just over a year.

Markle would have had to practice her curtsey for the meeting with the Queen.

In her Vanity Fair interview in the October issue, Markle who found fame on her role on hit TV show Suits, was asked about her relationship with the Prince and she said, "We're two people who are really happy and in love."
