Dad ‘quite disturbed’ by insurance company’s process of selling policy to his intellectually disabled son

Video obtained Tuesday, September 11, 2018, of Senior Counsel Assisting, Rowena Orr QC and Grant Stewart, at the at the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry in Melbourne. Mr Stewart says he’s “quite disturbed” by Freedom Insurance’s process of selling a policy to his intellectually disabled, doesn’t think the call was fair to his son and believes it would have been apparent his then-26-year-old was struggling to understand what he was being signed up to. He adds his son is now apprehensive about answering phone calls. (AAP Video/Supplied/Royal Commission)
