The 2015/16 Golden State Warriors are officially the greatest regular-season team in NBA history after finishing their season with 73 wins on Thursday (AEST).

The 125-104 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in the final game of the season eclipsed the 72-win mark set by Michael Jordan's 1995/96 Chicago Bulls.

After losing to Minnesota last week, the reigning champion Warriors had to win their final four games to break the record and did so with two wins each over the San Antonio Spurs and the Grizzlies.

More to come.
