Back in February, Jarryd Hayne labelled any Parramatta supporter who thought he would ever turn his back on the club ‘clowns’.

Six months later those same Eels fans want to shoot Hayne out of a cannon after he ditched his boyhood club to pledge his future to the Gold Coast Titans.

After the season from hell, this is the biggest kick in the guts of them all for distraught Parramatta fans – and they wasted no time letting their one-time idol know.

“I’m absolutely fuming. I hope you’re listening to this…you’re nothing but a dog,” fan Andrew told Triple M.

“You promised to come back to Parramatta. Parramatta helped you become the player you are today and let you go to fulfil your dreams.

“People need to realise how full of s*** Jarryd Hayne is. He’s not the bloke we thought he was.”

Another added: “I’m absolutely filthy. My missus says he’s my man crush but I’m going to have to dump the dog.”

Asked in early February what club he would return to if was to make an NRL comeback, Hayne replied: “If I ever came back, I would go to Parra if they wanted me.

"That’s always something I said from the start.

"It’s funny when you see media outlets trying to say I’m doing this and that.

"It’s even funnier when you see Parra fans get online and have a go at me, if you believe that, you’re a clown."

It’s believed the off-field drama at the Eels convinced Hayne to go back on his word and sign with the Titans.
