© Sporting News Kieran Foran has responded to the match-fixing allegations levelled against himself, as well as his brother.

The allegations come as a third NRL match is set to be investigated for possible match-fixing, however Foran insists he and his brother are both innocent.

“My brother had a bet on every Parramatta game for them to win,” Kieran Foran told The Saturday Telegraph

“He backs me to win every game I play.”

The allegations of match-fixing relate to Parramatta’s round seven fixture against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles — Foran’s first game against his old side.

Reports suggest an $18,000 bet was placed on the Eels to win by five points or more — a result that looked unlikely until a late comeback from the men in blue and gold saw them run out 22-10 victors.

The trail of betting during, and in the wake of that $41,000 win can be found in detail here

Liam Foran also responded to the allegations via a prepared statement provided to The Saturday Telegraph

“How dare people question any wrongdoing here,” the statement read.

“And question me putting $2,000 into my brother’s account when he was in (a rehabilitation clinic). How dare they.”
