Furthermore, according to the Canberra Times, the Brumbies are also in the process of drawing up a new deal for the former Australia fly-half.

Larkham will reportedly join the Wallabies next week, with the same newspaper suggesting he will be offered either a two or three-year deal.

"Both parties are very keen to come to an agreement and at the moment we don't see any impediments, it's just a matter of finding the time," said Brumbies chairman Robert Kennedy.

"We're in contact with the ARU to see what plans they have for Stephen as well and we support his career aspirations with whatever opportunities there are.

"Stephen has already said he's committed and he wants to continue what he's working on here and I think we're all on the same page."

The Brumbies are currently in second position, behind the Waratahs, in the Australian Conference of Super Rugby with this week's game against the Sunwolves their last before the June break.
