NRL stars Valentine Holmes and Jason Taumalolo have received interest from multiple NFL clubs and are still considering switching codes, their manager has confirmed.

The pair auditioned in front of NFL scouts in November, with four clubs expressing interest according to The Daily Telegraph.

Both players are yet to commit to the Sharks and Cowboys respectively beyond the 2017 season.

Should either Holmes or Taumalolo wish to perform a Jarryd Hayne-like switch in time for the 2017-18 NFL season they would need to be granted an early release from their NRL clubs by April in order to have any chance of making an NFL roster.

“Our position now is to re-evaluate the level of interest from the NFL and then sit down with both league clubs and go from there,” player manager Chris Orr told The Daily Telegraph.

“Once all the cards are on the table we can make an informed decision.

“I think it was more finding out the level of interest from the NFL clubs that have contacted us.

“And if that’s genuine and we want to pursue it, then we need to come back to them with the players’ positions.

“We are making sure we look at the players’ options when they come back to work … but the NFL is certainly a valid option.”
