The fight for control of the Sea Eagles has come down to a nasty battle between league Immortal and Manly great Bob Fulton and new CEO Tim Cleary.

Cleary made his intentions very clear late last week, sacking Fulton's daughter Kristie from her role in the club's commercial department.

That put him on a direct war footing with Bozo, who is Manly's Head of Football.

It's now up to club owners Rick and Scott Penn to decide which side of the fence they sit because there can be only one winner out of all this.

"It's amazing Tim Cleary is eight weeks into his job in rugby league and he's taken on a person with the stature of Bob Fulton," journalist Paul Kent stated on NRL 360.

"What does Tim Cleary believe he knows? He's not there to run the football operations.

"This is massive. It will be a big story. It will blow up in the next few weeks.

"A lot's going to happen there."

Leading News Corp journalist Phil Rothfield added: "This club has a long history of drama. It happens at Manly all the time.

"Tim Cleary was hired by the Penn family to cut costs and find sponsors. He's chosen Bob Fulton's daughter, Kristie, to cut costs.

"Bozo has had to deal with these family issues his entire career. Scott Fulton, Brett Fulton allegedly weren't good enough for first grade, which I disagree with by the way, but he was always bagged for picking them.

"I hate the tone of this story…that people are going to be saying that Kristie only had a job there because of Bozo.

"She is a highly successful person in business, in marketing and sponsorship."
