© Provided by Sportal com au Ricky Stuart has urged Matt Cecchin and Alan Shortall to allow the Raiders to play their exciting brand of football by keeping a close eye on Melbourne's wrestling tactics.

The Storm's controversial style of play has come under fire after North Queensland complained that three of their players were injured in the first week of the finals.

“Do you want to play the game in an octagon, or do you want to play it in a football field and have a spectacle?'' Ricky said.

“That’s a question for referees — that’s not a question for me.”

Melbourne are the specialists at slowingdown the play-the-balland keeping opposition scores to a minimum through their defensive methods.

Canberra are the mostlethal attacking force in the competition and coach Ricky Stuart is hoping the referees enable them to play quickly through the middle in order to get clean ball off to their dangerous edges.

The Raiders coach alsotook a cheeky stab at Cronulla's tactics.

“Cronulla showed everyone how to play us — stand at eight metres, don’t listen to the ref, jump early and scrag the crap out of us on the ground,” he said.
