South Sydney NRL players Dylan Walker and Aaron Gray have been rushed to hospital this morning amid reports at least one of them may have suffered an adverse reaction to medication.

Ambulance NSW has confirmed two men were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital after being found at a home in Rosebery, in Sydney's south east, at around 3.45am.

The pair were initially in a serious condition but are now stable and remain in hospital.

Representatives for Walker said the player suffered an adverse reaction to pain relief drugs Oxycodone and Tramadol after recent surgery.

It remains unclear how Gray came to be unwell.

Gray's father has confirmed to 9NEWS reporter Danny Weidler his son has been taken to hospital.

The Rabbitohs said in a statement both players had undergone recent surgery.

"The South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed that two of its players, Dylan Walker and Aaron Gray, were admitted to hospital this morning, and both are in a stable condition," the club said in a statement.

"Both players had post season surgery last week, following the end of the Club’s season, in preparation for pre-season training to commence later this year.

"The Club is keeping abreast of the situation and will not be making any further comment at this stage."

Walker, 20, was a member of the Rabbitohs’ 2014 premiership team and has represented Australia.
