6. Jason Taumalolo – 22: The highest ranked big man on the list and rightly so. Taumololo has a unique mixture of size, power and mobility very rarely seen in the NRL. It's hard to believe he's only 22. Will see huge money thrown his way, particularly once he experiences a few grand finals with the Cowboys.:
Cowboys forward Jason Taumalolo has signed an unprecedented 10-year contract extension with the North Queensland club.
© Provided by Sportal com au

Cowboys forward Jason Taumalolo has signed an unprecedented 10-year contract extension with the North Queensland club.

Cowboys forward and reigning Dally M Medallist Jason Taumalolo has re-signed with the North Queensland club in an unprecedented 10-year contract extension.

The new deal will see the 23-year-old remain in Townsville until the end of 2027 with unconfirmed reports suggesting the contract is worth $10 million.

Having already made over 100 appearance for the Cowboys, Taumalolo was linked with a move to the NFL during the off-season but clearly wants to stay in the NRL and with the North Queensland club.

"I’m very proud and honoured to be able to say that I’m staying a Cowboy for life," Taumalolo told the Cowboy's website.

"This club – including my teammates, the coaching staff, and the people that are its heart and soul – means the world to me, as do our amazing partners, members and fans.

"One of the greatest pleasures of being a professional rugby league player with the North Queensland Cowboys is running out on to our home ground at the start of the game and hearing that roar.

"I started this amazing journey as a young kid in the academy program in a Cowboys jersey and I’ll finish up in one."
