Most Slams in Open Era

The younger of the two Williams sisters, Serena has won 23 Grand Slam titles. She is second on the all-time list behind Australian great Margaret Court, of whose 24 Slams 11 were won in the Open Era. Part of the reason for the apparent indestructibility of her record, besides her excellence on all surfaces, is her longevity—she has been on the tour for over 20 years.
