Tiger Woods returns to competitive golf next month, but for now, at least,he'll need to settle for vice captain duties with the U.S. Ryder Cup team.

That must have slipped his mind Tuesday when the 14-time major champion tried to wrigglehimself into the players-only photo, only to be shooed away — twice — by the photographer. After trying to latch on to one side, Woods walkedto the other end of the posing group and sheepishlynudged Ryan Moorelike the awkward friend who got leftout.

Pardon me ... uh ...just heading over there, and ... oh, c'mon, guys ...scootover a bit ... ah, darn.

Poor fella.

For his part, Woods was a good sport and shared a hearty laugh with Bubba Watson off to the side. He eventually got his time in front of the camera when the rest of thecaptains were invited to join the players for the full team portrait.

Woods was never much help playing for the U.S. in the Ryder Cup, anyhow, with a13-17-3 career record, his last appearanceas a competitor coming in 2012.
