On the Friday evening, the Pope leads the Stations of the Cross around the Colosseum but it’s the Sunday morning mass in St Peter’s Square that’s the real hot ticket. The walled enclave in Rome, Italy, puts up one of the greatest Easter spectacles in the world. During the Settimana Santa, or Holy Week, celebrations include traditional events such as the Blessing of the Palms. The Holy Mass for Palm Sunday, led by the Pope in St. Peter’s Square (pictured), attracts the biggest crowds.
