A man wanted over the savage stabbing of two men at a Gold Coast home remains on the run while his alleged accomplice prepares to apply for bail.

Police are still searching for David Charles Brown, 50, who is the brother of one of the victims and has been in hiding since the incident on Wednesday night.

The other alleged attacker, Mark Jenner, 57, was due to face Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday but the case was adjourned to Friday so he can apply for bail.

Jenner is accused of using a large hunting knife to stab the men, aged 46 and 48, at a Helensvale home on Wednesday night.

Both victims remain in a stable condition in Gold Coast University Hospital after being stabbed in the chest and shoulder while a woman at the house was not injured.

Police have appealed for public assistance to help track down Brown but have warned people not to approach him because he may be armed.

Brown is the brother of the less seriously injured man who was stabbed in the shoulder.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Proctor said police responded to the incident within minutes and described the attack on the pair as savage.
