Accused wife-killer remains behind bars

A man charged with the stabbing murder of his wife has appeared briefly in a Sydney court.

Amir Darbonou, 42, will remain in custody ahead of his next court appearance after he allegedly stabbed his wife, hairdresser Nasim Abek, at their Potts Point unit, in the city's eastern suburbs, on Thursday morning.

Police allege the 35-year-old was stabbed multiple times by Darbonou who is due to return to Sydney's Central Local Court via audio visual link on November 24.
