A woman has been assaulted, robbed and dragged along by a car after trying to snap photos of two women loading stolen goods into the vehicle on the NSW south coast.

The woman, who works at a store in Shellharbour, saw two women putting allegedly stolen goods in a car and photographed them driving away on her phone, prompting the women to allegedly stop driving and assault her before stealing the phone.

The employee was dragged alongside the car for a short distance after she reached inside the car to get her phone back before falling to the ground.

The shop worker was not seriously hurt, and police have since charged the women, aged 32 and 19, with robbery, with more charges are expected to follow.
