Arrest in WA shooting near police station

A man has been charged over an incident last week in which a woman was shot while driving and went straight to a Perth police station bleeding and asking for help.

The 24-year-old woman was driving with a man in Bayswater on October 18 when the car was shot at and she was hit in the chest.

The pair went straight to the Bayswater police station and the injured woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man who is due to face court in Perth on Thursday.

He has been charged with causing bodily harm or danger and various drug and weapons offences.

On the night of the shooting, police raided a house on Whatley Crescent in Bayswater, seizing drugs and drug paraphernalia.
