Former teenage tennis prodigy Ashleigh Barty has made another successful return to the court.

After four months out battling an arm injury, the 20-year-old Australian has charged into the quarter-finals of a $125,000 Challenger event in Asia.

Wimbledon junior champion at 15, Barty is once again showcasing her talents, ousting third seed Maria Sakkari in her opener in Taiwan before beating fellow qualifier Junri Namigata 6-2 6-3 in the second round on Thursday AEDT.

Sixth seed Evgeniya is next up for Barty, who is looking to build her ranking from No.325 in the wake of her switch to cricket in the Women's Big Bash League with Brisbane Heat last summer.
