Respected Australian tennis figure Andrew Florent has reportedly died from cancer, aged 45.

The Victorian father of two died on Tuesday after a three-and-a-half-year battle with bowel cancer, News Corp Australia reports.

Florent coached Mark Philippoussis in 2005.

He won doubles three titles on the ATP circuit, reaching and reached a career-high doubles ranking of No.13.

He played the legend doubles at the 2014 Australian Open despite undergoing chemotherapy and fortnightly scans, with the tennis community raising more than $100,000 in the first year after his diagnosis.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel, and their teenage sons, Oliver and Jai.
