Two Nomads bikies have been charged over an interstate ecstasy haul.

Acting on a tip-off, NSW Gangs Squad detectives intercepted a freight package from Darwin to Sydney allegedly containing 3 kilograms of MDMA with an estimated potential street value of $750,000.

Further inquiries by Northern Territory police resulted in the arrest a 58-year-old man at Darwin River on Thursday afternoon.

The high-ranking Newcastle Nomad has been charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of the drug following his extradition to NSW on Saturday morning.

He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

A second gang member was arrested at a storage facility at Villawood on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old Breakfast Point man has been charged with the same offence and will also face Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
