A body has been found concealed in the remains of a burnt-out unit in Hobart.

The yet to be identified body was discovered on Thursday, two days after the Clarendon Vale unit was set alight.

Two men, aged 38 and 57, were arrested on Thursday and remain in custody, Tasmania Police say.

A 33-year-old woman was charged with arson on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, police said the occupant wasn't home at the time of the fire.

The unit was owned by Mission Australia and the estimated damage bill is $150,000.

Police say it will take some time for the body to be identified and an investigation into the death is under way.
