Residents in a suburban Brisbane street where a car ploughed into a house fear it's only a matter of time before someone is killed.

Three people escaped unharmed after a car went through the lounge room and out the other side of their home on Susan Court, Runcorn, around 1.30am Thursday.

Neighbours say it's the second time a car has crashed into that home, while similar incidents have happened at other houses in the street.

Melanie Viner said three vehicles had crashed into her home.

"I'm so angry - we're lucky that no-one has died, but that's just pure luck," she told the ABC.

Debra Lillywhite said a car had also rammed into her home.

"I feel someone will be killed and until that happens, nothing will be done for the residents," she told the Today Show.

The latest crash caused significant damage, with those living in the home having to be relocated.

Police say the trio were sleeping when the crash occurred.

The 20-year-old man driving the car suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

His blood-alcohol level was not tested at the scene but he has undergone blood tests in hospital, a police spokesman told AAP.
