Chalmers, Larkin impress at FINA World Cup

Olympic champion Kyle Chalmers and Rio silver medallist Mitch Larkin have landed impressive wins in the two-day FINA World Cup in Singapore.

Chalmers dominated the 200m freestyle on Saturday, bettering his second place swim behind Russian Vladimir Morozov in the 100m freestyle on the opening day.

Larkin showed all of the class which has made him one the world's finest backstrokers - winning the 100m backstroke in 59.25 on Friday, with fellow Australian Bobby Hurley fourth in 50.88.

The three-time world champion then added the 200m on Saturday in 1:50.22, while also jagging third third in the 50m.

Meanwhile, Australia's two-time women's backstroke world champion Emily Seebohm produced a total of six medals - One gold, three silver and two bronze - behind Hungarian Katinka Hosszu.

Seebohm landed gold in the 50m backstroke (25.18), silvers in the 100m backstroke (56.08), 50m freestyle (24.33) and 100m individual medley (58.54) with bronzes in the 200m backstroke (2:03.08) and 50m butterfly (25.91).

In other events Brayden McCarthy was second in the 100m butterfly in 51.24 and Kiah Melverton third in the women's 800m freestyle in 8:24.16.
