Three family members have been charged over the death of a Perth man who went missing almost one month ago and was found buried in his backyard.

Matthew Kyle Fisher-Turner was last seen on October 1 and friends reported the 24-year-old missing on October 17.

Police discovered Mr Fisher-Turner's body buried in the backyard of his Parmelia home on Thursday night.

A 65-year-old man has been charged with murder, while a 26-year-old man and 19-year-old woman have been charged with being accessories after the fact to murder.

Acting Detective Inspector Peter Clements told reporters on Friday the three accused people and the victim all lived in the house and were related, but would not confirm their relationship.

"We will allege that Mr Fisher-Turner was murdered on or about October 1 this year where he was last seen at that home address," he said.

Det Insp Clements said the investigation was ongoing but would not comment on whether there was a history of domestic violence at the house.

He also refused to comment on any injuries Mr Fisher-Turner suffered or the role of each of the accused in his death.

All three people charged over Mr Fisher-Turner's death will appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court later on Friday.
