A man who disappeared after being spotted looking confused and disorientated on a farm in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region has been found by searchers.

The barefoot and unshaven man, who is estimated to be aged around 65, was found by a farmer on his Barberton property on Saturday evening and spoke about being bogged, possibly the night before, but vanished when the farmer went to get help.

Searchers found him mid-afternoon on Sunday on an access track through bushland, around 3km from where he was last seen.

He is being brought to the local hospital for a medical assessment while police establish his identity.
