Delta Goodrem will join the cast of Nine Network drama House Husbands.

It's a return to small screen acting for the singer who began her career with a role in Neighbours.

Goodrem will make a memorable entrance on the drama arriving on a cafe racer motorbike and playing the reading recovery teacher at Nepean South Primary School, Izzy Dreyfus.

"I couldn't be happier to join the amazing House Husbands family. It's such a fantastic Aussie drama that I love - and my whole family loves - so I feel very lucky and cannot wait to get started," Goodrem said.

The singer recently released her fifth studio album, Wings of the Wild, which reached number one on the Australian ARIA album charts.

Goodrem has also just finished up her stint coaching on the fifth season of Nine Network's The Voice.

House Husbands is filming in Melbourne and stars Hugh Sheridan, Gary Sweet, Firass Dirani, Rhys Muldoon and Julia Morris.
