A truck driver has been charged after he allegedly hit and killed another truck driver who'd pulled over on a motorway south of Brisbane.

Police say the victim, 34, stopped his truck on the Logan Motorway at Drewvale just before 1pm on Tuesday and was struck after getting out of his vehicle.

The driver of the passing truck, 46, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and will front the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on February 2.

In a separate accident at Logan later on Tuesday, a motorcyclist died when his bike left the road and hit a sign.

The crashed happened in the Logan suburb of Belivah about 10pm. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the 31-year-old's death.
