Some of the best highlights of award shows happen during those unexpected cutaways and wide shots.

Such was the case as Ryan Gosling 36, hit the stage to accept his award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, and Ryan Reynolds, 40, full-on made out with Andrew Garfield, 33, in the audience after the star lost the trophy to that other Canadian Ryan.

As if that moment couldn't get even better, Andrew's ex-girlfriend Emma Stone, 28, who was oblivious to their smoochfest at the time, reacted it to it live during a chat with E! News.

While talking to the outlet following their big wins, Emma, Gosling and director Damien Chazellewere shown footage of the viral moment.

"They did not kiss each other," Stone said with a shocked look on her face, before bursting into giggles. "They did?," she continued with a gasp.

Gosling hadn't seen the make-out sesh either, and he smiled as he viewed the clip.

While Emma and Andrew still haven't reconciled after breaking up in 2015, there doesn't seem to be any animosity between them. Not only did Emma laugh at Andrew's onscreen kiss, but the star was supportive as his ex won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for .

As she walked onstage to accept the award, Andrew stood up in the audience. One Golden Globes viewer who tweeted a screenshot of the moment captioned the shot: "Andrew Garfield gave Emma Stone a standing ovation so I'm holding on to some hope."

So are we.
