January 2005 - Lateesha Nolan, 24, is strangled to death in her car by her cousin Malcolm Naden in Dubbo after dropping off two of her four children at a relative's

June 2005 - Naden disappears after murdering 24-year-old mother of two Kristy Scholes at his grandparent's house

August 2005-2011 - An arrest warrant is issued for Naden, who evades police numerous times and becomes NSW's most wanted fugitive

December 2011 - A police officer is shot in the shoulder at a campsite at Nowendoc following days of searching for Naden

March 2012 - Naden is arrested at a private property 30km west of Gloucester

April 2012 - Investigators search the Macquarie River bank at Butlers Falls for Ms Nolan's remains but fail to find them

June 2013 - Naden is sentenced to life imprisonment for the two murders

November 2016 - A femur bone is found at Butlers Falls by a member of the public, just outside the original 2012 search area

December 6, 2016 - DNA testing reveals the bone belongs to Ms Nolan
