The wife of former Queensland MP Scott Driscoll has avoided jail after pleading guilty to dishonesty offences.

Emma Jane Driscoll pleaded guilty in Brisbane District Court on Monday to multiple counts of falsifying a record and making a false declaration.

The 43-year-old was sentenced to three years jail, wholly suspended, and 120 hours community service for the offences, which related to inaccurate minutes created for the Queensland Retail Traders and Shopkeepers Association.

Driscoll was involved with the QRTSA when a mass audit of many industrial organisations was conducted to scrutinise if membership, financial and other records were being maintained properly, the court heard.

Judge Brian Devereaux said she created minutes of meetings that were inaccurate and included references to people not present or meetings that hadn't happened.
