Five teens charged after Qld car chase

Five teenagers, arrested after a tracking app on a stolen iPad led police to a stolen four-wheel drive, have been charged with a number of offences.

Police arrested three teenage girls and two teenage boys at Oxenford on the Gold Coast on Wednesday morning.

Officers used tyre deflation devices to initially try and intercept the vehicle they were in near Brisbane airport early on Wednesday, however it continue to drive to Oxenford with two damaged tyres.

The three girls, aged 15 and 16, and a 14-year-old boy have been charged with burglary and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

A 16-year-old boy faces burglary and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to stop motor vehicle and driving without a driver licence charges.
