Five teenagers have been charged after the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old boy at a party in Sydney earlier this year.

A house party in Ryde attended by about 50 people in August ended in violence when 16-year-old Aidan Smith was fatally stabbed and six others injured.

A 20-year-old man from Ryde was charged with affray several days after the incident.

Another five people have also been charged with affray following investigations, police said on Friday.

Four male teens, two aged 17, one 15 and one 19, were charged on Thursday while a 16-year-old boy was charged on Friday.

All five were refused bail to face court on Friday.

Aidan died in hospital after he was stabbed during a fight that broke out at the birthday party on August 7.

Police were called to the home just after midnight and found six males, including Aidan, and a female with stab wounds.

Investigations are ongoing.
