He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

Earlier in the day a man died after the car he was in crashed into a tree in Somerville.

Two other men in the car were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

On Boxing Day night, a man died after his ute collided with a petrol tanker at an intersection in Corio, near Geelong.

And a 37-year-old man died in hospital after his car left the road, ending up in the front yard of a house at Clunes on Christmas Day.
